Meet Chris
Founder of TOE2TOE and the Man Behind This Project
Toe2Toe is a Montreal-based non-profit initiative that collects and distributes brand new socks to provide adequate footwear to the homeless population in Montreal. Chris Costello created Toe2Toe from his experience in medical school internships in Montreal and Ohio. Chris observed that lack of appropriate foot hygiene could cause infections, which could lead to systemic infections and even amputations. Created in 2015, Toe2Toe has raised tens of thousands of dollars, and has collected and distributed over 100,000 pairs of socks to the homeless population. Launching Canada Cares Kits has been a vision of Chris's for a number of years and this 2022 we're making that vision reality!

Care Kits Distributed
The Canada Cares Kit project is the first of its kind and we hope it becomes an annual tradition. For the first time this July 1st we have set a mission to distribute care kits directly to the homeless population in 8 different Canadian cities. Our goal is to hand out 1000 kits in each city on Canada day. Learn more about how you can help us below!

To donate a Canada Care Kit or an individual item click HERE.
100% of the donation goes to inventory and transportation.

If you like, choose a specific city for your kit to be donated in on Canada Day. You will immediately receive a tax receipt!

On July 1st, Canada Day, one of our city leads will directly donate your donation to an individual experiencing homelessness.
All donations are made through and managed by the Unity Values Foundation, a registered charity with the CRA. Their Charity Registration Number is 711160085 RR 0001.
While you're celebrating Canada Day, another Canadian is smiling because of your donation.

Get Involved: Start a Sub Campaign
You can start your own Canada Cares Kits sub campaign in your local community! For example, if a school, a team or a company wants to do their own sub-campaign they can help contribute to the main goal of collecting donations and distributing the kits on Canada Day!!
